What is HOPE? One definition is ” To wish for something with expectation of its fulfillment.”

But does just ‘wishing’ make it so? How about praying? Could we pray for hope? Personally I would suggest that praying may be more apt to get you further than wishing but that is not the point. Read the rest of this entry »

The sun rises every day without any help from me. That is where some of my hope lies. Even if I can’t see the sun, it is there. That is where some of my hope lies.

This is the one definition of hope that is so appropriate for those of us who are challenged by depression: “Hope is the feeling we have that the feeling we have is not permanent.” (Mignon McLaughlin) There you have it. This depression is NOT permanent. It sure feels like it sometimes, but it is not!
