Depression Review: Eight Keywords
‘Keywords’, did that word even exist before we had internet? Well, I checked and yes it did. It simply means a word that unlocks the meaning.
If we are going to do a good depression review, we need to get down to basics.
Here are my eight keywords for the depression journey:
1. DIAGNOSIS
2. MEDICATION
3. THERAPY
4. RESEARCH
5. LIFESTYLE CHANGES
6. COPING STRATEGIES
7. RECOVERY
8. RELAPSE
Last week we chatted about ‘positive thinking’. I did this purposely before we started our depression review. Without the right approach, recovery is impossible. As difficult as it is to control our thoughts, it is not impossible. If recovery, full or partial, is what you are working towards, then you need to adopt an attitude that will see you through.
A positive attitude is our only hope in combating the negative thoughts which are at the core of depression. If you need an attitude check before we move forward, you might want to check out last week’s posts.
We’ll start tomorrow with DIAGNOSIS. Are you sure you have the right diagnosis?
For a little laughter therapy check out one of my favourite mental health jokes.
I am so glad you dropped by today!
Join me again at ‘Depression Getaway’ and together we will…
…live, care, laugh, share, learn, discover, forgive and recover.
Don’t give up, I’m praying for you!

What an interesting idea! I never thought to look up how long “keywords” has been around. What a neatly solid original meaning. I like it.
Thanks for visiting my scrapbook today.
Peace to you,
